Hello …

If you’ve found your way here, you may be looking for someone who will listen without judgement, understand what you’re going through, and help you find a way forward. That’s the kind of therapist and coach I strive to be.

My interest in psychology didn’t begin in a lecture theatre, it began through my own experiences,

As a teenager, I struggled with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), challenges that remained part of my life for many years. So I understand how exhausting it can be when your mind feels constantly busy, when worry takes over, or when you lose confidence in yourself. Those experiences gave me empathy, but they also sparked a lifelong curiosity about why we think, feel and behave the way we do, and most importantly, how people can change and thrive.

Curiosity, together with a desire to better understand myself and regain a sense of control over my life, led me to explore psychology and personal development. What began as a search for answers during my own recovery soon grew into a lifelong passion for understanding how people think, feel and change.

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”  – Walt Disney

I initially immersed myself in books and practical self help approaches that could help me make sense of my own experiences.

That journey inspired me to study various Counselling Skills & Studies, NLP and Life Coaching courses, before going on to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy and complete a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology (Counselling & Mental Health); followed by an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology (MAPPCP) fourteen years later.

I have always believed that if I’m going to support others, I should never stop learning. That’s why I continue to develop professionally because my clients deserve support that is grounded in current evidence and best practice.

Today, my work brings together scientific research with genuine human connection. I believe therapy should be evidence-based, but it should also feel warm, collaborative and personal. Every client is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether we’re using Positive Psychology Coaching, Clinical Hypnotherapy or other psychological approaches, my aim is always the same: to help you understand what’s holding you back, recognise the strengths you already possess, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.

“I listen to what you say, but I hear what you mean.” – Hercule Poirot

People often ask what kind of therapist I am. I would simply say that I try to be authentic. You’ll find warmth, kindness, humour when it’s appropriate, and someone who genuinely cares about helping you move from simply coping towards flourishing.

A few things about me

  • Kindness, honesty and authenticity are values I try to bring into every session
  • I don’t take myself too seriously, and I believe that, at the right moment, humour can be incredibly healing
  • I’m endlessly curious and love learning, there’s always another book to read or course to explore.
  • I believe therapy should be evidence-based, but never lose its human touch
  • I genuinely believe that people are often stronger and more resourceful than they realise.

Choosing someone to support you is a personal decision, and I hope this page has given you a sense of who I am, how I work and what matters to me.

If you feel that we’re the right fit, I’d love to hear from you.
